At Danescourt, this project began as a sloped, underutilised new-build garden with limited functionality and poor flow between levels. Legion Developments were commissioned to reimagine the space into a clean, contemporary outdoor environment that maximises usability while maintaining a refined, architectural finish.

The transformation centred around restructuring the levels to create a cohesive and practical layout. A series of retaining brick walls were introduced to terrace the garden, allowing for a clear separation between the upper patio and the lower lawn area. This not only resolved the gradient challenges but also introduced strong visual structure across the space.

A large-format porcelain patio was installed to form the primary outdoor living area, delivering a sleek, high-end aesthetic with durability suitable for year-round use. The steps connecting levels were carefully integrated into the design, ensuring a natural transition while maintaining clean lines throughout.

The central lawn was finished with premium artificial grass, providing a low-maintenance, consistently vibrant surface that contrasts sharply with the surrounding hard landscaping. This creates a balanced composition between soft and hard elements.

To enhance the perimeter, a raised rendered planter was constructed, incorporating integrated lighting to add depth and atmosphere during the evening. Decorative stone borders were used to frame the edges, reinforcing the crisp detailing seen across the project.

The result is a fully optimised outdoor space—modern, structured, and highly functional—designed for both everyday use and entertaining. This project reflects Legion Developments’ focus on precision, material quality, and contemporary outdoor design.

The Wenvoe project represents a fully realised, high-spec outdoor environment designed to balance architectural precision with lifestyle functionality. Legion Developments were tasked with transforming the space into a modern garden that delivers both visual impact and practical usability day and night.

At the core of the design is a raised, framed lawn area, finished with premium artificial grass to create a sharp, low-maintenance centrepiece. This is enclosed by large-format porcelain paving, providing a seamless, high-end surface that unifies the entire garden while enhancing durability and ease of maintenance.

A key architectural feature is the bespoke pergola structure, positioned on an elevated platform to define a dedicated outdoor living zone. This space is designed for entertaining, offering shelter while maintaining an open, contemporary feel.

To the rear, a custom-built garden room clad in natural timber introduces both warmth and functionality. The structure provides a flexible indoor-outdoor connection ideal for use as a home office, gym, or leisure space while complementing the clean lines of the overall design.

The project also incorporates a tiered layout with integrated steps, resolving level changes while maintaining a fluid transition across the garden. These levels are accentuated with continuous LED strip lighting, embedded along edges and steps to create a striking visual effect after dark and enhance safety throughout the space.

Perimeter boundaries were upgraded using horizontal slatted fencing, paired with evenly spaced wall lighting to deliver depth, rhythm, and a cohesive finish across all elevations.

The result is a fully curated outdoor space modern, structured, and immersive designed to perform as both a functional garden and a refined extension of the home. Goldlands reflects Legion Developments’ commitment to detail-driven execution, premium materials, and integrated lighting design.

The Fairwater project focused on redefining a multi-level outdoor space into a clean, contemporary garden that balances structure, openness, and everyday usability. Legion Developments were appointed to deliver a solution that would modernise the space while resolving level changes and improving overall flow.

The design centres around a split-level layout, with a spacious upper terrace created using large-format porcelain paving. This elevated area provides a refined outdoor entertaining space, offering durability alongside a sleek, architectural finish.

A defining feature of the project is the introduction of frameless glass balustrading, which maintains safety between levels while preserving uninterrupted sightlines across the garden. This allows light to move freely through the space and enhances the sense of openness despite the tiered design.

The transition between levels is handled through a bespoke staircase, finished in matching porcelain and framed with dark stone copings for contrast and definition. Subtle integrated step lighting has been incorporated to improve visibility and add a premium finish during evening use.

The lower garden features a neatly framed artificial lawn, providing a low-maintenance, vibrant green space that softens the surrounding hard landscaping. Clean gravel borders and rendered retaining walls reinforce the sharp, minimal aesthetic throughout.

Perimeter treatments were upgraded with a combination of painted fencing and decorative screening, creating a cohesive backdrop that complements the neutral tones of the paving while adding depth and privacy.

The result is a highly functional, design-led outdoor space that feels open, structured, and contemporary. Fairwater demonstrates Legion Developments’ ability to combine precision installation, modern materials, and thoughtful spatial planning to elevate everyday gardens into refined living environments.
